About

me!

My name is Elizabeth Clausen, but all of my friends call me Liz! I’ve written for Fiction Southeast, Thought Catalog, I Scream Social Anthology, Vol.2, LEGACY Magazine, and for a bunch of other places.

My short story “Reclusive Roommate Goes Missing” was awarded an Honorable Mention in Glimmer Train’s 2013 Very Short Fiction Award contest, and my piece on women in academia received Honorable Mention in the 2013 Associated Collegiate Press News Story of the Year contest. I’m a graduate of the MFA program at Texas State and I’m a freelance writer available for hire!

I started this blog as a way to keep writing about stuff that I find interesting and/or important. I once got quoted by NPR! I also tweet things, and was  named one of the 25 People to Follow in Baton Rouge by 225 Magazine. (LMAO.)

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog! I’m always open to feedback or suggestions for future posts. Hit me up in the comments!
