I’m a 25-year-old college graduate living in Baton Rouge, LA. I’ve written for Fiction Southeast, Thought Catalog, Girl Warrior Magazine, delta journal, The Daily Reveille, LEGACY Magazine, and for the LSU homepage.
My short story “Reclusive Roommate Goes Missing” was awarded an Honorable Mention in Glimmer Train’s 2013 Very Short Fiction Award contest, and my piece on women in academia received Honorable Mention in the 2013 Associated Collegiate Press News Story of the Year contest. I’m currently studying at Texas State, where I’ll be pursuing my MFA in fiction for the next three years.
I started this blog as a way to keep writing about stuff that I find interesting and/or important. I once got quoted by NPR! I also tweet things, and was named one of the 25 People to Follow in Baton Rouge by 225 Magazine.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog! I’m always open to feedback or suggestions for future posts. Hit me up in the comments!
